Microsoft Excel Introduction - What will I cover?

Probably the most used, and useful, application used in any organisation today, Excel empowers you to quickly and efficiently analyse data.  We will  show you how to organise large amounts of data, produce professional charts and graphs, and perform calculations with speed and with ease.- 


By the end of the course, using practical hands-on tuition, you will have an understanding of the following features and techniques:

  1. The Excel screen:-Menus and toolbars, database window and objects bar
  2. File basics:-creating and opening files, file management techniques.
  3. Inputting data:-Inputting data into spreadsheets, using both keyboard and mouse for speed
  4. Formatting:-Changing text and number appearance, adding borders and shading cells. Changing cell font types, colours and sizes.
  5. Automatic Calculation:-Formulas and functions, column totals and averages. Relative and absolute cell referencing
  6. Printing:-Page layouts and orientation, headers and footers.
  7. Tools:-The spell checker. Using Find and Replace to make multiple alterations.
